Jubilee Medals
President of the Padstow RNLI Branch committee, Mr. Peter Prideaux-Brune, has been awarded the institution’s silver badge in recognition of his valuable support to the lifeboat service in Padstow.

As Branch President he continues a long association his family has had with the Padstow lifeboat in its 175 year history.In 1879, 4 female relatives of Mr. Prideaux-Brune’s family were award silver medals for their part in a boat rescue. Mr. Prideaux-Brune’s mother founded the Ladies Guild in 1945 and his father was the previous branch President.Mr. Prideaux-Brune received his award from Alan Tarby, Coxswain of Padstow lifeboat. It was then the turn of Alan Tarby to receive his Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal from Mr. Prideaux-Brune, along with 19 members of his crew for services to the Lifeboat service.
